The Domaine Cabin de Sutton: Built on Solid Foundations
To feel like you’re living among the trees, there’s nothing better than enjoying time in a stilted chalet. That’s exactly what the founders of Domaine Cabin de Sutton achieved with their screw-pile chalets. Built at tree height near the stunning Sutton Natural Park, their goal was to offer a one-of-a-kind tourist accommodation experience in Estrie for all outdoor enthusiasts.
The Challenges of This Screw-Pile Chalet Project
One of the challenges Stéphane faced during this screw-pile chalet project was the presence of rocks on the site. While screw piles are easily installed in soil using only a mini-excavator, working with rocky or solid bedrock required a different approach. This is where Stéphane’s experience and expertise proved invaluable. In fact, Vistech has developed straightforward methods specifically for such cases, enabling piles to be securely anchored to the bedrock permanently.
