Rebuilding a Vital Connection

Aboiteau Beach, known for its stunning coastline and vibrant tourist activity, faced a devastating challenge after Hurricane Irene swept through, destroying its iconic boardwalk. This boardwalk, essential for connecting visitors from the parking lot to the beach, required not just repair, but a complete reimagining to withstand the harsh forces of nature. Enter Postech Moncton, with a solution that perfectly balances innovation and resilience. Utilising 212 helical piles, all driven to a depth of at least 8 feet, they have laid the groundwork for a new, robust boardwalk that will serve the community and tourists for years to come.

Strength in Every Screw: Building to Last

The decision to use screw piles wasn’t just about immediate reconstruction. It was a commitment to building something that could endure. The P312 piles offer exceptional stability, ensuring that the new boardwalk can withstand future weather events while minimizing environmental impact during installation. This sustainable approach also respects the natural beauty of the beach.

Expanding Access and Enhancing the Experience

But this project didn’t stop at restoring the beach walkway. Postech also spearheaded the development of a second boardwalk, designed to connect the nearby cottage rental area to the beach. The result enhances the beach experience by providing easier access and strengthening Aboiteau’s role as a beloved seaside destination.
