PRIVACY POLICY

How we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information, and the rights you have.

Last updated: October 2026

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

Pieux Vistech Inc. ("Postech," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect when you use postechpiles.com (the "Website") or contact us, how we use and share it, how we protect it, and the rights you have.

This Policy is designed to meet Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Quebec's Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector (Law 25), and, where it applies, the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

By using the Website, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

2. What information we collect

Information you give us directly. When you fill out a quote request, contact form, dealership inquiry, or Lunch & Learn or resource-download form, or when you email us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, postal or ZIP code, company name (where relevant), and any project details you choose to share.

Information we collect automatically. When you visit the Website, we automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser type and version, device type, operating system, pages visited, time spent, and the site you came from. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).

Information we do not collect. We do not collect payment card numbers through the Website. We do not seek sensitive personal information such as health data, ethnic or racial origin, political or religious beliefs, or government identification numbers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14.

Call tracking

The phone numbers shown on this site are tracking numbers provided by CallRail. They route your call directly to the dealer in your area. When you call, we collect your phone number, the date, time and length of the call, and the number dialled. Calls may be recorded and transcribed to measure service quality and the effectiveness of our communications. This information is used to route your request, follow up on it and measure the performance of our advertising.

Contact and quote forms

When you fill in the contact or quote request form, we collect the information you provide (name, email, phone, address, project type, message) along with your landing page and the source of your visit (for example, an advertising campaign). Your request is sent to the dealer in your area.

If you have accepted Analytics cookies, the content of these forms is also recorded by CallRail, our request tracking provider. If you have accepted Advertisement cookies, the identifier of the ad you clicked is kept with your request. This lets us measure how well our campaigns work.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to your quote request, inquiry, or application, and connect you with a certified Postech dealer in your area.
  • Prepare estimates and follow up on your project or request.
  • Send you communications related to your request, and, where you have consented, occasional updates.
  • Operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Website.
  • Meet legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Our legal bases (where GDPR applies)

Where GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent; the performance of steps taken at your request before entering a contract (for example, preparing an estimate); our legitimate interests in operating and improving our business; and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to run the Website, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and improve performance. Categories include Necessary, Functional, Analytics, and Advertisement.

Where required, including under Quebec Law 25 and GDPR, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can change your choices at any time through the consent banner. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.

6. How we share your information

We share personal information only as needed to serve you and run our business:

  • Certified Postech dealers. When you submit a quote or project request, we share the details necessary to serve you with the certified Postech dealer or dealers in your area, so they can contact you and prepare an estimate.
  • Service providers. We use trusted providers for website hosting, form processing, email delivery, call tracking, and analytics, who may process personal information on our behalf under contract.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information where required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
  • Business transfers. If Postech is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
  • SMS communication purposes. Mobile Opt in, SMS Consent, and phone numbers collected for SMS communication purposes will not be shared with any third party or affiliates for marketing purposes.

7. Where your information is processed

Some of our service providers may store or process personal information outside your province or country, including in the United States and elsewhere. Where information is transferred outside Quebec or Canada, or outside the EEA where GDPR applies, we take steps intended to give it a comparable level of protection, including contractual safeguards.

Service providers and transfers outside Québec

Some processing is carried out on our behalf by service providers, under written agreements and only for the purposes described here:

  • Dots (Groupe Dots Inc.). Website, campaign and measurement management. Location: Québec.
  • CallRail. Call and form tracking. Location: United States.
  • Supabase. Request database. Location: United States.
  • Google Cloud. Reporting warehouse. Location: Canada or United States.
  • Google, Meta, Microsoft. Advertising measurement and delivery, based on your cookie consent. Location: United States and other countries.

Your information may therefore be communicated and stored outside Québec, including in the United States. Before any such transfer, we assessed the privacy factors involved and concluded that your information is adequately protected. The laws of those countries may, however, allow their authorities to access it.

When you accept Advertisement cookies, Google may receive your contact details in encrypted (hashed) form to measure advertising conversions.

Some dealers use their own quote form, provided by a third party (for example LeadConnector, Plannit or Jobber). Information you enter there goes directly to the dealer and that provider, under their own policies.

8. How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, to meet legal and contractual obligations, and to resolve disputes. Retention periods vary by type of information and purpose.

  • Quote requests and contact forms recorded by the site. 24 months, then anonymised.
  • Calls (logs, recordings, transcripts) and forms recorded by CallRail. 25 months, then deleted automatically by the provider.
  • Analytics data. 26 months.

9. How we protect your information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. These include access controls, encryption in transit, controlled office access, backups. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and request a copy.
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Withdraw consent, or ask us to stop or limit certain uses.
  • Ask us to delete your information, or, under Law 25, to de-index certain information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Request your information in a structured, portable format (data portability), where that right applies.
  • Unsubscribe from any marketing communications at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using Section 12. We will respond within the timelines required by applicable law. You also have the right to complain to a regulator, including the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, or your local data protection authority.
