Questions We Hear Every Day

Screw pile pricing depends on the number of piles, pile diameter, and soil conditions, but most residential projects fall between $150 and $300 per pile installed.

A standard deck (8 to 10 piles) typically runs $1,200 to $2,500 in total foundation cost.

However, the most accurate number will always come from a free quote with your local Postech dealer, who will be able to assess your own soil and project constraints directly on-site.

Yes. Postech screw piles are engineered to meet or exceed the load requirements of poured concrete foundations.

Every pile is installed to a verified torque reading, giving the installer an objective measurement of load capacity at that depth, on that soil, on that day.

Concrete foundations do not provide that feedback. With screw piles, you know what the foundation can carry before the structure goes on top.

Yes. Our network does this regularly, typically for deck restoration, shed stabilization, and cottage foundation rescue work.

The advantage over concrete for this type of job is clear: no excavation under the existing floor, minimal disturbance to landscaping, and most projects complete in a single day.

A certified installer visits the site first to confirm access clearance, soil conditions, and whether the existing structure can be temporarily supported during the lift. From there, he drives piles through restricted access points, temporarily support the structure, then lower it onto the new foundation.

With 150+ certified installers across North America and a lifetime warranty on every pile installation, this is one of the most common rescue jobs we do.

No. They are hot-dip galvanized to ASTM A123M, which bonds the zinc metallurgically to the steel and protects it two ways.

The zinc forms a barrier against moisture, and it acts as a sacrificial metal: even if the coating is scratched, the zinc corrodes first and keeps the steel protected. In Canadian and New England soil conditions, that gives a service life measured in decades.

Every Postech pile is also backed by a lifetime warranty.

Thermal Pilesâ„¢ are Postech's proprietary screw piles designed for cold-climate construction.

Inside the galvanized steel tube is an insulation layer that breaks the thermal bridge between frozen surface soil and the pile shaft below the frost line.

The result is a foundation that resists frost heave in conditions where a standard pile, or concrete, would cycle and shift.

Please note that Thermal Pilesâ„¢ are installed exclusively by certified Postech dealers.
